..the New Horizons Board Members and myself began to converse in ways that uncovered new lines of thinking that will bring us, as an organization, to better carry out the mission we have established, as stated below.

The New Horizon's Small "Zones of Peace" Mission

To educate and train individuals and groups to create Small “Zones Of Peace” wherever they go wherein violence, deceit and denial will ultimately become obsolete.

This mission of our is more critical than ever at this time, as this is a time, in our country and beyond, worldwide, when the following words of Gandhi, from which our mission statement evolved, must be heeded at all costs!

"We do best to begin by carving out territories or zones of peace in our personal relations where violence and deceit won't be used." Mahatma Gandhi

Each is simply one or another path to take, leading to single place – peace and unity, as opposed to separation or divisiveness, built upon a foundation of human functioning at its finest, as opposed to its low self.

For this to be realized, we must work closely with one another with caring, compassion and respect, storytelling is our likeliest vehicle, not sound bytes, digital data, visual aids or other forms of non-human information sharing and/or entertainment.
